]]>According to Apple TV’s logline, this series is set against the backdrop of the Nazi occupation of Paris in World War II and “focuses on the pivotal moment in the 20th century when the French city led the world back to life through its fashion icon Christian Dior.”
In addition to chronicling Dior’s rise to prominence, The New Look also follows Coco Chanel on her journey to regain control after her reputation as the world’s most famous designer is put into jeopardy. This series will also explore the stories of Dior’s other rivals and contemporaries, starting with Pierre Balmain and Cristóbal Balenciaga.
Ben Mendelsohn and Juliette Binoche lead the show’s impressive cast, which also includes Maisie Williams, John Malkovich, Emily Mortimer, Claes Bang, Glenn Close, Hugo Becker, Thomas Poitevin, and Nuno Lopes.
The New Look will debut on Apple TV+ with three episodes on February 14, which will be followed by one episode every Wednesday through April 3.

]]>Cynthia Erivo (Widows), Julianne Nicholson (August: Osage County), Paddy Considine (In America) and Mare Winningham (The Affair) are amongst the actors recently cast in The Outsider.
The Outsider centers on an investigation of a gruesome murder of a local boy in a tiny town in Oklahoma. The script was written by Richard Price, who’s no stranger to working with HBO. He received two Emmy nods for his work on limited series The Night Of and was also credited as one of the writers of The Deuce.
Ozark star Jason Bateman will be in charge of directing first two episodes of this intriguing thriller. He’ll also serve as executive producer through his company Aggregate Films, which previously produced several of his films including Bad Words and Game Night.
