Multiple outlets confirm that the follow-up series BH902190 has been canceled by Fox and will not return for a second season. 

The series brought together original series cast members Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, and Shannen Doherty.

“We are so proud to have reunited in a very special summer event one of the network’s legacy series and casts with 90210 fans across the country,” said Fox in a statement. “Profound thanks to and respect for Brian, Gabrielle, Ian, Jason, Jennie, Shannen, and Tori, who, along with the entire crew and everyone at FOX and CBS Television Studios, poured their hearts and souls into this truly inventive and nostalgic revival.”

The original Beverly Hills, 90210 premiered on Fox in 1990 and aired for 10 seasons. It was followed by The CW’s 90210.

The teaser trailer sees Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green and Gabrielle Carteris back together at the Peach Pit, well sort of… 

The short clip sees the gang armed with doll versions of their iconic characters at a miniature diner. As the camera pulls back from the set, Ziering’s Steve says jokingly, “Yeah, you know what? I’m tired of all this. We should do this for real. What do you all say?”

Here’s the official logline: “Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Shannen, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot up and running. But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast — whom the whole world watched grow up together — attempts to continue from where they left off?”

BH90210 premieres August 7 on Fox.

Lachey and Anthony have been tapped to portray the onscreen wives of Priestley and Green respectively. Lachey’s Camille is described as a “high-powered publicist” who is “balancing her demanding career with the hopes of starting a family.” Shay, the wife of Green’s character, is described as a hip-hop/pop superstar.

The onscreen spouses for the rest of the original cast members, including Spelling, Garth, and Carteris, have yet to be confirmed. 

The revival will reunite the original cast, who will play exaggerated versions of themselves, with stories “inspired by their real lives and relationships.”
