]]> Cameron Boyce, child actor best known for his roles in Disney Channel’s series Jessie and Descendants franchise, tragically passed away at the age of 20. Many of his former co-stars were devastated by the news and sent their condolences to his family.

A spokesperson released a statement on behalf of Boyce’s family, revealing that the young actor passed away in his sleep due to a seizure, triggered by his epilepsy.

“The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother,” read the statement.

Boyce got his big break after appearing in the first Grown Ups movie in 2010 and went on to land key roles on Disney sitcom Jessie and the Descendants movies. Some of his former co-stars, including Adam Sandler and Skai Jackson, shared heartfelt posts on social media remembering the young actor, his enormous talent and warm personality.
