Disney has finally announced the full cast for their High School Musical TV series.

The new original series titled, High School Musical: The Musical, stars the previously announced Joshua Bassett (Stuck in the Middle) as Ricky, a “sarcastic yet charismatic skate rat and high school junior, who launches a bold plan to prove himself to his ex-girlfriend Nini–by auditioning to star opposite her in the school’s first-ever production of High School Musical: The Musical.”

In addition to Bassett, the cast includes Olivia Rodrigo (Bizaardvark), Kate Reinders (Modern Family), Sofia Wylie (Andi Mack), Matt Cornett (Bella and the Bulldogs), Dara Renee (Freaky Friday), Julia Lester (Mom), Frankie Rodriguez (Modern Family), Larry Saperstein (Fan Girl), and Mark St. Cyr (Doomsday).

The 10-episode series will make a return to the small screen 15 years after the original starring Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale, aired.

The leading voice stars for Pixar’s next original movie have been announced and they are  Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer.

The four will work together in the animated adventure described in the past by Pixar as a “suburban fantasy.” The film follows two teenage elf brothers (Holland and Pratt), who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still magic left in the world.

“At Pixar, we try to create stories that come from some kind of personal truth,” director Dan Scanlon said in a statement. “This film was inspired by my own relationship with my brother.”

Scanlon and producer Kori Rae couldn’t be happier with the stellar cast tapped to take part in the production.

“Chris brings equal parts huge heart and fantastic humor to his character,” said Rae, and Spencer “can do it all. We’re especially excited about the depth as well as humor that she brings to her character.”

Holland “has an infectious charm and sincerity that makes you root for him in every character he plays,” said Scanlon said and added that “there is no one funnier than Julia. But she also brings a warmth and loving side to her character.”

Onward is scheduled to hit theaters March 6, 2020.
