Comedy Central has renewed the comedic interview show Good Talk With Anthony Jeselnik for a second season that will feature a whole new lineup of A-list comedians. 

“Anthony has a knack for wit and irony in the flow of conversation, which makes him a hilarious and great interviewer,” said Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, Co-Heads of Original Content at the cable net. “It’ll be a treat to see him continue to push boundaries with an all-new lineup of comedian friends.”

“I love making this show and look forward to continuing Comedy Central’s unprecedented winning streak through 2020,” said Jeselnik.

The show sees Jeselnik sit down and talk with his comedian friends about their careers, influences and what it’s like to perform stand-up. Season one featured David Spade, Kristen Schaal, Kumail Nanjiani, Natasha Leggero, Nick Kroll, and Tig Notaro. 

The eight-episode sophomore season of Good Talk With Anthony Jeselnik will debut in 2020.

The Comedy Central classic is getting a second life and a seventh season at the forthcoming short-form platform. 

It has been more than a decade since the show from creators and cast members Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon, and Kerri Kenney-Silver last aired. The three are on board to write and star in the new season. 

“Reno 911! holds a special place in our hearts, and it will be a delight to get the original cast back together for ‘re-boot goofin,’” Lennon said. “Hopefully Nick Swardson can still roller skate. Quibi’s short format seems custom made for our show.”

“We are very excited to partner with Ben, Kerri and Tom, three of the most gifted multi-hyphenates in comedy, to bring more of their iconic series Reno 911! to the world,” said Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, Comedy Central’s co-heads of original content. “Fans demanded this for a long time and Comedy Central Productions and Quibi are thrilled to help answer that kind of 911 call.”

Quibi is set to launch in April, 2020.

The 54-year-old comedian is returning to late-night TV with a new show at Comedy Central. 

The yet-to-be titled nightly series hosted by Spade was announced Sunday at TCA.

The series will air at 11:30 PM following Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show on Monday through Thursday nights starting later this year. 

The format will include opening monologues followed by rotating group of celebrities and comedians. Spade is expected to discuss topics that offer a “signature take on the pop culture news of the day,” according to the network. Which means that Spade will not necessarily center on national news and POTUS like many of the current late-night offerings. 

Spade will executive producer alongside Alex Murray, Marc Gurvitz. Brad Wollack and Tom Brunelle. Wollack and Brunelle also serve as showrunners.
