The series finale set to air on April 5 will be followed with a musical special titled Yes, It’s Really Us Singing: The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Concert Special!

The special will showcase the critically acclaimed series’ songbook with the cast performing live versions of songs from the series’ four seasons “along with incredible staging, multimedia visuals, and a live band and orchestra,” according to the CW.

“The songwriters of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Rachel Bloom, Jack Dolgen and Adam Schlesinger, have written more than 150 outstanding songs in our four seasons. It is an unprecedented contribution to the American songbook. I’m so thrilled we can share those songs with the world in a spontaneous format that really showcases their humor and genius,” Brosh McKenna, the series co-creator and showrunner, said in a statement.

The concert will be taped in Los Angeles in March.

The CW announced Monday the renewal of 10 of its current shows for the 2018-19 season, among them Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Other shows to get renewed are Riverdale, Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, Supernatural, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, Dynasty and Jane the Virgin. 

Following the news of a confirmed fourth season Bloom tweeted, “Just turned on my wifi on our flight to Chicago and found out that #CrazyExGirlfriend has been renewed for a final season.”

The CW’s Mark Pedowitz said in a statement, “As The CW expands to a six-night, Sunday through Friday schedule next season, we are proud to have such a deep bench of great returning series for 2018-19. By picking these ten series up for next season, we have a terrific selection of programming to choose from when we set our fall schedule in May, with more still to come, and I’m especially happy that we’ll continue to work with the incredibly talented casts, producers, and writers who create the series our fans are so passionate about.”

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is one of CW’s lower-rated originals with only freshman shows like Dynasty and Life Sentence drawing lower numbers. 

The CW would not confirm whether the series’ fourth season would be its last.

“I make about $50,000 or $60,000 for acting in an episode before taxes and paying my reps,” Bloom told Wealthsimple money diary. “I know it’s absurd that I don’t know the exact figure, but it’s because all of it comes in bulk and goes directly to a business manager.”

The Golden Globe winner also confessed that she has to buy many of the outfits she wears due to her size.

“A lot of fashion houses are reluctant to lend clothes that aren’t in the sample sizes of 0 and 2, so it’s getting harder and harder for me to find clothes without buying them,” she shared. “That’s the whole problem with the fashion industry: My body size is literally normal and healthy, but when you put me next to a model, I look obese.”

The 30-year-old actress grew up “very comfortably” in an “upper middle class” home in southern California and attended New York University without taking out student loans. Though Bloom worked to pay her rent, she graduated with “very little” in savings.

“I spent $3,000 dollars — the bulk of my savings — to make the video [for “F— Me Ray Bradbury],” she said. “It’s had [more than 4 million] hits on YouTube, but I didn’t make it to make money … I made it because I wanted to be my own one-person sketch group. And that song has paid for itself back 30-times-fold.”

The YouTube video landed the actress her first TV writing job on Fox’s animated show Allen Gregory in 2011, for which she was paid $3,500 per week.

“But I wasn’t taking all of that check home,” she revealed. “Remember that I was paying 10 percent to a manager, 10 percent to an agent and 5 percent to an entertainment lawyer.”

Bloom then took a string on non-union jobs with lower pay after Allen Gregory got cancelled. She gives credit to her husband Dan Gregor for supporting her financially.

“If it weren’t for the fact that we were living together there I probably wouldn’t have had the luxury of just being a writer and performer,” she said.

Season 3 of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend premieres on Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
