The 1-minute, 31-second clip features David Harbour of Stranger Things starring as a fictional version of his father. According to Deadline, the story is a mockumentary about a TV production of Mary Shelley’s classic story, with Harbour creating a fictionalized version of his father, who is attempting to create a television version of the horror story.

According to the streaming service, we should “expect the unexpected in this over-the-top and often dramatic(ish) reimagined tale of mystery and suspense.”

Alfred Molina and Kate Berlant co-star alongside more special guests. 

Daniel Gray Longino directed the 28-minutes featurette out July 16 on Netflix.

Best known for his role as Jim Hopper in Netflix’s Stranger Things, The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Harbour will star opposite lead Scarlett Johansson for the Avengers spy turned superheroine film. Also recently cast in the film is rising actress Florence Pugh. 

While the feature obviously centers on Johansson’s Russian spy-turned-Avenger Natasha Romanoff (aka Black Widow), not much else is known about plot, and no word on who Harbour is set to play. 

The pic will be directed by Australian filmmaker, Cate Shortland (Lore).

You can see Harbour next in Hellboy slated to hit theaters in April. He is set to reprise his role for Stranger Things’ third season which will be available to stream July 4. 

Black Widow is the second female fronted pic following Captain Marvel, which just smashed the $1 billion milestone at the global box office.

Season three of Stranger Things is looking at the 1985 comedy Fletch, featuring Chevy Chase for inspiration.

The news was revealed during a screening the show at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles on Friday by David Harbour, who plays Chief Jim Hopper.

The two time Emmy nominee told Variety, “The Duffers are so specific each year with the movies. And Fletch is one movie we get to play around and have some fun with this season, which you wouldn’t expect from Stranger Things and you wouldn’t expect from the Spielberg universe and you certainly wouldn’t expect from a darker season.”

Harbour also noted that executive producer Shawn Levy has described the upcoming season as darker, scarier and bigger, especially because of his not-so-simple relationship with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). 

“Their relationship is going to get far more complex, because, you know, things happen to girls and boys when they’re 13 and 14,” he said. “A lot of changes go on in the body and in your social life, and I don’t think he’s going to handle watching her become a woman in front of his eyes very well. That’s a horrifying thing for him — maybe even more so than fighting inter-dimensional monsters.”

Stranger Things is set to return in summer 2019.

Harbour tweeted Wednesday that he will get ordained and perform a Twitter user’s wedding ceremony if the tweet reached 125K retweets

This isn’t the first time Habour is challenged by a fan, and it also isn’t the first time Harbour challenges the twittersphere right back. Back in October, he was asked by a fan how many it would take for him to feature in her senior class photos. Harbour made good on his promise taking part in the high school photo session as requested.

Four days later and it seems that David Harbour will soon have to be ordained as he will be officiating his first ever wedding in September as his tweet as been retweeted over 138K times!

E! News reports that Skrein was set to play Major Ben Daimio, a member of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense who can turn into a jaguar when angered or in pain. Major Daimio is of Asian heritage in the original Dark Horse comic.

The casting news prompted backlash from the internet, many claiming that Hollywood was once again whitewashing a character.

Today, the Game of Thrones star took to Twitter to respond to the public outcry, saying he is stepping down from the film hoping the role will go to the actor that best fit the character.

“It is clear that representing this character in a culturally accurate way holds significance for people, and that to neglect this responsibility would continue a worrying tendency to obscure ethnic minority stories and voice in the arts. I feel it is important to honor and respect that. Therefore I have decided to step down so the role can be cast appropriately,” Skrein wrote in a lengthy statement.

“Representation of ethnic diversity is important, especially to me as I have a mixed heritage family. It is our responsibility to make moral decisions in difficult times and to give voice to inclusivity. It is my hope that one day these discussions will become less necessary and that we can help make equal representation in the arts a reality,” he added.

He concluded, “I am sad to leave Hellboy but if this decision brings us closer to that day, it is all worth it. I hope it makes a difference.”

The movie also stars Stranger Things‘ David Harbour. He thank the fans for their words and Skrein for his decision. “Hey internet. Thank you for your voices. An injustice was done and will be corrected. Many thanks to @edskrein for doing what is right,” he tweeted.

Hellboy producers Larry Gordon, Lloyd Levin, Millennium and Lionsgate released a statement following Skrein’s announcement: “Ed came to us and felt very strongly about this. We fully support his unselfish decision. It was not our intent to be insensitive to issues of authenticity and ethnicity, and we will look to recast the part with an actor more consistent with the character in the source material.”

Actor Ian McShane will be playing Hellboy’s adoptive father, Professor Bloom. While Milla Jovovich will portray the role of Nimue the Blood Queen, a medieval sorceress set on destroying humanity. Game of Thrones director Neil Marshall is set to direct the film.
