Deadline was first to report that the Game of Thrones alumna Nathalie Emmanuel has been cast opposite lead Kevin Hart in the action-comedy series Die Hart. Also starring in the series is John Travolta. 

In Die Hart, Hart plays himself on a quest to be a leading man action star. He finally gets his chance, but there’s a catch: he must first train at the world’s greatest action star school, run by Travolta’s character. Emmanuel will play a tough-minded rival student who pushes Kevin to his limits.

Quibi will offer mobile viewers quick-bite content in episodes running 10 minutes or less beginning April 6. 

Travolta has been cast in a short format comedy-action series, Die Hart, one of dozens of series in the works at Quibi. He will star opposite series lead Kevin Hart. 

In the series, Hart plays a fictionalized version of himself, someone who’s tired of being the comedic sidekick. A famous director offers him the shot to be the lead in an action movie, but there’s a catch: Kevin first must train at the world’s greatest action-star school, which is run by a lunatic (Travolta). Pushed to his limits by the coach and a tough-minded rival student, Kevin must survive a series of over-the-top action sequences and face his fears if he wants to achieve his dream and land the role of a lifetime.

Travolta joins previously announced Quibi partners including Guillermo del Toro, Antoine Fuqua, Sam Raimi, Jason Blum, Steven Soderbergh, Catherine Hardwicke, Anna Kendrick, Doug Liman, Laurence Fishburne among others.
