The new trailer for this live-action reimagining of Disney’s animated classic sees Zegler’s Snow White finding a formidable enemy in Gal Gadot’s Evil Queen. After she orders her murder, Snow White runs away into the woods and starts anew after a group of seven dwarves agrees to take her in.

In addition to Zegler and Gadot, the cast of this film will also include Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman, Dujonna Gift as Maple, Martin Klebba as Grumpy, and Colin Michael Carmichael as Farno. The new trailer introduces us to dwarfs, who were brought to life with the power of CGI and designed to resemble the characters from the original animated movie.

The live-action version of Snow White has been in the making for almost a decade, and it finally started taking shape when Marc Webb came on board as a director in 2019. After several major delays and re-shoots, Snow White will finally be released by Disney on March 21, 2025.

Snow White puts a modern twist on Disney’s 1937 animated classic, and the first teaser confirms the inclusion of the original song “Whistle While You Work”. Zegler unveiled the trailer at Disney’s D23 Expo alongside her co-star Gal Gadot, and said it’s been an honor of a lifetime to play Snow White.

“I think any young person, any little girl if you get to put on a Disney princess dress and be her for a day let alone six months… it’s just been the most amazing experience and I can’t wait to share it with you all,” said Zegler.

In addition to the leading duo, Show White will also star Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman, Dujonna Gift as Maple, Martin Klebba as Grumpy, and Colin Michael Carmichael in an undisclosed role. The Seven Dwarfs will be CGI characters in this live-action remake, and Disney is yet to cast all the voice actors in these roles.

Snow White will be released in theaters on March 21, 2025, before heading to Disney+ at a later date.

This cancelation comes as quite a shocker because it comes only a day after the titular star Gal Gadot shared a hopeful tweet about the future of the Wonder Woman franchise. She concluded her tweet by writing, “can’t wait to share her next chapter with you”, but it quickly turned out we won’t be getting a new chapter of Diana Prince’s story.

This decision caused so much confusion that Gunn couldn’t help but react, saying he and Safran were aware they were coming into a fractious environment when they agreed to take over DC Studios.

“We know we are not going to make every single person happy every step of the way, but we can promise everything we do is done in the service of the STORY & in the service of the DC CHARACTERS we know you cherish and we have cherished our whole lives,” wrote Gunn on Twitter.

Wonder Woman and its sequel Wonder Woman 1984 were both directed by Patty Jenkins, with Gal Gadot in the lead role, jointly grossing almost $1 billion worldwide.

The first teaser was unveiled by none other than Wonder Woman herself Gal Gadot. The under-30 second teaser was released a day before the full trailer was expected to premiere at Brazil’s Comic-Con Experience event in São Paulo, Brazil.

The footage features Israeli actress Gadot reprises her role as the Amazonian princess in the sequel to the hit 2017 DC film, both directed by Patty Jenkins.

Wonder Woman 1984 also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as Antiope and Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta. Newcomers include Pedro Pascal as Max Lord and Kristen Wiig as the Cheetah.

Per the official description, Irena Sendler tells the harrowing story of a woman’s defiant stand against Polish Nazi occupation and the incredible network she developed to care for and save 2500 Jewish children from the Warsaw ghetto. Following her arrest by the Gestapo during the height of the war, the drama becomes a race against time to save not only herself but the identities of the hidden thousands who’ll face certain execution.

“As producers, we want to help bring stories that have inspired us to life,” Gagot and Varsano said. “Pilot Wave will create content that promotes the perspectives and experiences of unique people and produce impactful stories aimed at igniting the imagination.”

The Wonder Woman star will headline and executive produce Showtime’s limited series about Hedy Lamarr. 

Lamarr immigrated from Europe in the ‘30s and took Hollywood by storm. The film actress, who appeared in multiple movies opposite A-listers such as Judy Garland and Clark Gable, was also a trailblazing scientist.

“The life of Hedy Lamarr was a truly fascinating one. She stood at the forefront of many issues that challenge women and our society today,” said Showtime’s President of Entertainment Jana Winograde. “In Gal Gadot, we have found the transcendent actress to portray the deeply complex Lamarr. And with the award-winning talents of Sarah Treem and Warren Littlefield, this is going to be a special series.”

The project hails from The Affair co-creator/executive producer Sarah Treem.

Filming has wrapped on the second installment of Patty Jenkin’s Wonder Woman franchise and Gadot has treated fans with three BTS pictures of the two of them. The actress took to Instagram Sunday and shared a heartfelt message to her co-stars and crew.

“We did it. Again!!. And as much as the first time shooting Wonder Woman was amazing, this time was even more unique and special.. We shot in 4 very different locations in 3 countries, and I’m so soooo proud of the almost 1000 crew members who came to set every day, giving everything they have into our movie.”

She always has our backs, she gives us the wings to dare, and everyday she helped us find the most creative version of ourselves .. I am so grateful to call her my friend. The first Wonder Woman film was the highest-grossing film of summer 2017 earning $412.5 million at the domestic box office, and $821.8M worldwide. Originally set for a November 2019 release, Wonder Woman 1984 will open in theaters June 5, 2020.

Gadot will portray rich socialite Linnet Doyle, tangled up in a complicated romance which leads to tragedy, leaving detective Poirot to solve the mystery. Just like the rest of Christie’s stories, Death on the Nile comes with a colorful collection of supporting characters, who all happen to be suspects in the case.

Kenneth Branagh directed and starred in the previous installment in this growing franchise, but it’s still unclear if he’ll return for the sequel. Death on the Nile will be released in theaters on December 20, 2019, and the rest of the cast is yet to be announced.

The Wonder Woman star announced her casting online and said it’s amazing to work with such a great team. She was cast as a tough-as-nails street racer Shank, one of the coolest characters in the upcoming movie.

“Shank is amazing at driving cars and has this bad-girl vibe to her. But as the movie goes on, you realize how fun, wise and warm she really is on the inside, which is what I like most about her,” said Gadot.

Shank is one of the new characters Ralph and Vanellope end up meeting on their quest to find a replacement part for Sugar Rush. Ralph’s little sidekick earns her respect after the two girls compete in the dangerous Slaughter Race. Director Phil Johnston said Shank is Vanellope’s big-sister figure and he couldn’t imagine anyone but Gadot bringing her to life.

“There’s so much texture to her voice and so much living in her voice. We wanted someone that Vanellope would look up to, and Gal is definitely someone kids – and a lot of adults I know – aspire to emulate. I can’t imagine anyone else embodying that part.” said Johnston.

Gal Gadot took some time off from her DC Universe world and paid patients and caregivers a surprise visit dressed in her superhero outfit. 

The 33-year-old actress was filming the sequel titled Wonder Woman 1984 nearby in the Washington, DC and Virginia area when she decided to brighten the days of the young patients.
