Based on Allen’s stand-up comedy, It has been almost two decades since the show ended, but Allen says he’s ready to dust off his power tools.

Allen spoke with ET at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar-viewing party on Sunday, where he was asked if the show’s original cast, including Patricia Richardson, Zachery Ty Bryan, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Taran Noah Smith, Richard Karn, and Debbe Dunning, would be down for a reboot.

“I can’t say everybody, but it has been floated, and more than I would have expected said, ‘Yeah, that would be cool to do it years later.’” Allen went on to hint that he will be willing to helm a reboot project if it meant that his co-stars would follow.

As he still reminisces about his comedy, titled Last Man Standing since it ended earlier than expected, canceled after 6 seasons, he said, “I still miss Last Man Standing. We didn’t get our seventh year. I adored that show. It’s like having a new dog and now to go back to the old dog? I don’t know. I like both characters, but yeah, I’d be very interested in that idea.”

While there is no official Home Improvement reboot news, it does seem plausible that in the spirit of reboots and sequels we might be seeing Tim Taylor and Tool Time on our screens again.
