This fantasy film is set in a world where imaginary friends have a life of their own, and Krasinski just shared the first trailer with the world.

Written and directed by Krasinski, IF will follow Bea (Cailey Fleminga), a young girl who has a special power to see other people’s imaginary friends, even after they’ve been long abandoned. She learns she’s not the only person with this ability after meeting her neighbor the Man Upstairs (Ryan Reynolds).

Krasinski told Entertainment Weekly that he wrote this movie for his kids and they’re the only critics he cares about right now.

“I will say, the most emotional thing that I’ve ever had happen in my career is watching my kids watch this trailer. I’ve never been more scared to show anyone a movie than these two little people. The one criticism I’m looking for my whole life is: What do they think?” said Krasinski.

IF will hit the theatres on May 17, 2024, and it will also star Fiona Shaw, Alan Kim, Liza Colón-Zayas, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr., and Steve Carell.
