Apart from the final season, shooting usually would be underway mid-summer and would usually run until the end of the year, making last season’s October date a later start date than usual. Production of season 7 was also an exception as filming ran from September to February, premiering during the summer instead of in the spring.

It is known that the last season will be the shortest in terms of number of episodes. While the length of season 8’s episodes are rumored to be supersized, this has not been confirmed yet. However, since both the 6th and 7th season broke the longest episode ever records, it seems safe to assume that at least one of season’s 8 episodes will do the same.

Whether or not season 8 will air in 2019 is still unclear. The cast has yet to receive the scripts for the final season, perhaps in an attempt to safeguard the very last plot twists and turns in complete secrecy.
