The forthcoming film in The Matrix franchise keeps adding to its cast. This time we can confirm that Jonathan Groff is set to star in the film in a role that is as-yet-unrevealed.
He joins original stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss who will reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity, and Jada Pinkett Smith who returns as Niobe. Aquaman‘s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II also joined the franchise as a lead, with unconfirmed reports saying that he’ll play a young Morpheus. Jessica Henwick and Neil Patrick Harris are also in the cast.
Lana Wachowski returns as director and is co-writing the script with Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell.
