]]>Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige will be in charge of headlining the upcoming Super Bowl LVI halftime show. Pepsi’s VP of marketing, Todd Kaplan, is describing the upcoming show as an epic, unforgettable celebration of the impact hip hop has today.
“The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show has become a landmark cultural moment, bringing about some of the most iconic performances over the years… We are thrilled to bring together such an incredible array of talented, record-breaking musicians to put on a performance for the ages,” said Kaplan in a statement.
Pepsi and NFL assembled this lineup along with Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation and they’re describing the upcoming show as a larger-than-life performance of hits from the quintet’s collective catalog. For some of the artists, Super Bowl LVI hits close to home because it will be the first in nearly three decades to be held in the Los Angeles area. The Big Game will take place on February 13th, 2022 at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

“Today we are pleased to announce that we are in pre-production on the first of what we know will be a collection of series inspired by the dynamic world of Power,” said Kemp as Blige entered the room. “Power Book II: Ghost will continue the journey of some of Power’s most controversial characters.”
“This is probably the most exciting thing that’s going to happen to me this year,” Blige, said onstage at the event. “I’ve been a fan of Power since the very beginning and I want to thank Courtney Kemp and ’50 Cent’ for starting this conversation with me.”
“I’ve known so many Tashas, I’ve known so many Ghosts. I’ve dated so many Ghosts,” the music icon added, name checking Power characters. “I’m a huge fan for life, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it.”
