The initially canceled NBC comedy is getting a new life on the network’s streaming service. 

Multiple outlets confirm that the series from creator Mike O’Brien will return for a new and third season, which makes it the first scripted comedy for NBCUniversal’s new streaming platform.

“I’m so overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the fans,” O’Brien said Wednesday in a statement. “The cast and I are thrilled that we get to make more and I’m excited to work with the NBCU streaming platform.”

A.P. Bio followed a disgraced Harvard philosophy professor turned high school biology teacher. It starred Glenn Howerton and Patton Oswalt. It was canceled by the network after two seasons in May.
