Ferguson joined Tom Cruise for Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and reprised her role as Ilsa Faust in this year’s Fallout.

Swedish actress has been doing pretty great even outside of the Mission: Impossible series. Ferguson appeared alongside Meryl Streep in Florence Foster Jenkins, before starring in Life and The Greatest Showman. She was recently cast in Doctor Sleep, an adaptation of Stephen King’s novel that continues the story from The Shining.

Rebecca Ferguson won’t be the only familiar face in the new Men in Black spin-off. Marvel stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson will reunite on the set of this exciting action flick. List of supporting players includes acting legends Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson, who starred in the classic rom-com Love, Actually. It will be a blast to see them all together in one place on May 14 next year, when Men in Black 4 premieres in the US.

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Ferguson is in talks to join the horror feature based on King’s 2013 novel, a sequel to the 1977 horror classic, The Shinning from Stanley Kubrick. 

In the sequel, McGregor will play a now-adult Danny Torrance, a spitting image of his father. Battling alcoholism, Danny is still trying to come to terms with the trauma of his childhood in that Colorado hotel. Danny uses his “shining” powers to help the dying at the hospice where he works. 

Helming the feature is Mike Flanagan. His producing partner, Trevor Macy, will produce along with Vertigo Entertainment’s Jon Berg.

Ferguson film credits include Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation and The Greatest Showman. She will reprise her role as Ilsa Faust in Mission: Impossible – Fallout which hits theaters next month.
