]]>The Freddie Mercury biopic was the dark horse in the race for best drama film, but it ended up beating obvious favorites like A Star Is Born. Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga were expected to win awards for their performances in this movie, but that never happened since Rami Malek and Glenn Close bested them in their respective categories.
The comedy categories were easier to predict, and Green Book took home to the main award of the night, while Christian Bale (Vice) and Olivia Colman (The Favourite) won the acting categories
When it comes to TV, the Golden Globe voters bid farewell to The Americans by awarding the last season of this show with a shiny trophy for best drama. The Kominsky Method won big in comedy categories, while American Crime Story proved to be the best miniseries of the year.
