After being a major name in the music scene for quite a while, Chance released his first-ever studio album, The Big Day.

The album, which debuted Friday, following the musician’s announcement just last week of the album’s title and cover art on The Tonight Show. 

The Big Day spans 22 tracks and clocks in at just over an hour and 15 minutes. It features John Legend, Shawn Mendes, Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, MadeinTYO, DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, Francis, and the Lights, Taylor Bennett, Randy Newman, Timbaland, Smino, Gucci Mane and Nicki Minaj. 

“The whole album has been inspired by the day that I got married and how I was dancing that day,” Chance said in an interview. 

The Big Day follows Chance’s 2016 mixtape Coloring Book. But the Chicago native wants people to know that his mixtapes are different from albums. “My mixtapes have been confused for albums for a long time so it has to be something different,” he told Pitchfork. “Something that you can consider an album, it might not be physical, or a disc or something, but an album that comes with its own live show is important.”
