The O.C. alum took to Instagram, posting a snap of herself with her new co-stars Audrina Patridge and Stephanie Pratt. The three ladies were all smiles in what is the first behind-the-scenes picture from the set of the revival series. She captioned the snap, with a reference to the iconic Mean Girls writing, “on Wednesdays we wear whatever we want… and you can totally sit with us .”

The switch to reality television comes years after Barton starred in the teenage drama The O.C. Barton played Marissa Copper in the series that became a huge success overnight. The O.C. inspired MTV’s Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, which eventually spun off into The Hills. She announced her casting on Instagram writing, “secret’s out… I’m joining the cast of The Hills. When MTV approached me with the chance to be a part of the reality show that was inspired by The OC, it felt like the perfect opportunity for an irresistibly inviting new chapter.”

The Hills: New Beginnings will reunite the original cast and their children and will include some new faces as well. It is set to premiere in 2019.

Just days after The Hills revival was announced, news that the hit E! reality show, Very Cavallari will be back for season two. The news was confirmed Monday. 

The Hills alum has gone solo and she’s doing very well for herself. The second season will premiere in 2019 and will consist of 10 one-hour episodes.

“I couldn’t be happier that Very Cavallari will be returning for season two,” the 31-year-old reality star said in a statement. “I had the best time filming our first season and feel like we are just getting started, so I can’t wait to come back for more next year!”

“Kristin is uniquely aspirational and relatable, and our audience has embraced her long-awaited return to reality TV featuring her life as a businesswoman, boss, mom, and wife,” shared Amy Introcaso-Davis, EVP, Development, and Production at E! “We look forward to continuing watching Kristin expand her businesses, manage her headstrong staff, and of course we can’t wait for more hilarious moments from fan favorite [husband] Jay Cutler.”

While she’s back doing reality TV, Cavallari will not be part of The Hills revival and neither will the main star Lauren Conrad. The Hills: New Beginnings, will follow the original stars, their children and their lives in Los Angeles years after the original series came to a close, will premiere in 2019.
