The new full-length trailer finally introduces fans to a new toy, Canada’s greatest stuntman, Duke Caboom, voiced by Keanu Reeves. 

The fourth installment in the franchise sees the old gang including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Bo Peep and others go on a rescue mission to find newcomer Forky. Voiced by Tony Hale, Forky is Bonnie’s newest makeshift toy, a spork with googly eyes and pipe cleaner hands. Duke Caboom, who’s is a real “poser,” according to Bo Peep, joins them, as well as another newcomer, Christina Hendricks‘ Gabby Gabby, a pull-string doll from the 1950s.

Toy Story was Pixar’s very first feature film. Debuting in 1995 this upcoming fourth installment will carry the franchise into its 25th year.

Toy Story 4 will hit theaters on June 21.

Tim Allen AKA Buzz Lightyear has revealed that Reeves has a role in the upcoming fourth installment of the hugely successful franchise. Allen shared the tidbit on the newcomer to the toy box Wednesday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Despite the reveal, Allen didn’t say much else about the character or the plot, saying, “it is so good… it is so deep and moving, and wonderful plot, [but] I can’t give anything away.”

“They really will surprise you with the toys they came up with,” Allen said. “Characters came back, new guys in it that are great. Keanu Reeves has got a great part.”

Then he continued: “Actually, a little inside story: Even he [Revves] said — gentle, wonderful guy that he is — ‘This sounds too much like Buzz Lightyear.’ And his character does have an edge to that. And the guy said, ‘So we calmed him down a little bit,’ and they reminded me his toy is only that big.”

Pixar dropped the first teaser trailer for Toy Story 4 last week, which kicked the fans’ anticipation into high gear. The trailer introduced a new toy, Forky, a spork turned craft project turned toy voiced by Tony Hale.

Toy Story 4 will hit theaters on June 21, 2019.

The first teaser for Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 4 has arrived and fans finally get introduced to the gang’s newest plaything, Forky, voiced by comedian Tony Hale (Veep).

The short video features the old gang including Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Rex, Slinky Dog, Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head floating through the air, when mid-flight the frightened Forky screams, “I don’t belong here!” “I’m not a toy!” the makeshift spork screams toward the end. “Hey! Hey!” Woody tells the group. “Somebody get him before he pokes an eye out.”

The studio’s official logline for the upcoming film says, “Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called ‘Forky’ to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.”

Director Josh Cooley said, “Like most people, I assumed that Toy Story 3 was the end of the story. And it was the end of Woody’s story with Andy. But just like in life, every ending is a new beginning. Woody now being in a new room, with new toys, and a new kid, was something we have never seen before. The questions of what that would be like became the beginning of an entertaining story worth exploring.”

“The world of Toy Story is built upon the idea that everything in the world has a purpose,” adds Cooley. “A toy’s purpose is to be there for its child. But what about toys that are made out of other objects? Forky is a toy that Bonnie made out of a disposable spork, so he’s facing a crisis. He wants to fulfill his purpose as a spork, but now has a new toy purpose thrust upon him.” To which adds Hale, “A utensil’s existential crisis? I’m in!”
