]]>When Usher was initially announced as a halftime show performer, he described it as an honor of a lifetime and promised a show that would be unlike anything we’ve seen from him before. He finally kept his promise on Sunday night—and he didn’t have to do it all alone.
Usher opened the show with “My Way” before continuing his set with “Caught Up” and “U Don’t Have to Call”. Alicia Keys, who was rumored to join him days before Super Bowl Sunday, delivered a powerful piano rendition of “If I Ain’t Got You” before teaming up with Usher for “My Boo”.
Keys wasn’t the only special guest to help Usher make his Super Bowl performance extra special. H.E.R., will.i.am. and Lil Jon also hit the stage before Ludacris joined Usher to close the set with an electrifying rendition of his biggest hit “Yeah!”
Super Bowl LVIII took place on February 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers to lift the trophy for the second consecutive year.

]]>Usher, who recently found success with his Las Vegas residency, is getting ready to take Sin City by storm again on February 11, 2024, when the Super Bowl will take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
This won’t be the first time we see Usher grace the Super Bowl stage. He was a guest during The Black Eyed Peas’ halftime show at the Super Bowl XLV, and he’s been dreaming about being the main act ever since.
Usher announced his headlining gig in a series of funny videos featuring Kim Kardashian, Deion Sanders, Marshawn Lynch, and Odell Beckham Jr. He also released an official statement confirming his involvement and said it’s an “honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off [his] bucket list.”
Some NFL fans felt that Usher is an odd choice since most of his biggest hits came out during the 2000s, but this won’t be the first time that the Super Bowl leaned into nostalgia. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige headlined the halftime show alongside Kendrick Lamar in 2022, and their performance was met with rave reviews.
