]]>Valhalla was developed as a sequel to History’s acclaimed series Vikings, and it takes place a century after the events of the original series. It shows a new generation of legendary heroes arising to forge their own destiny in a new land, clashing with the Englishmen and amongst themselves.
Vikings: Valhalla creator and executive producer Jeb Stuart said that he can’t wait for the fans of the show to see the conclusion of this chapter of Vikings’ history.
“I hope when the audience gets to see the new season, they’ll be excited by all the new heights that we’ve taken these heroes. When we started this project 5 years ago, I worked hard with this incredible cast and crew to craft a journey that we all hoped would be satisfying,” said Stuart in a statement.
Sam Corlett, Frida Gustavsson, Leo Suter, Bradley Freegard, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Caroline Henderson, Laura Berlin, and David Oakes are expected to reprise their roles from the first two seasons when Vikings: Valhalla returns for its final chapter next year.

]]>Set 100 years after the original, Vikings: Valhalla “concludes and dramatizes the adventures of the most famous Vikings who ever lived — Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Harada, and the Norman King William the Conqueror (also a Viking descendant). These men and women will blaze new paths as they fight for survival in an ever-changing and evolving Europe. This is the explosive next chapter of the Vikings legend,” per the streamer’s official description.
The new series hails from Vikings creator Michael Hirst. “I am beyond excited that we are announcing the continuation of our Vikings saga,” he said in a statement. “I know that the millions of our fans across the globe will be thrilled by the belief being shown in our show by MGM and Netflix. Jeb Stuart, a truly wonderful writer, will bring new storylines and a powerful visceral vision to stories about some of the most famous Vikings known to history.”
Vikings will debut its sixth and final season December, 4.
