After weeks of teasing her fans, Taylor Swift finally unveiled her highly-anticipated secret project – a bubbly new song, Me!, which features the Panic! at the Disco singer Brandon Urie.
The video for their first collaboration is as colorful as they get and sees the duo playing star-crossed lovers, who are no strangers to huge fights. Me! features everything from dangerous snakes and huge butterflies to pastel suits and elaborate dance numbers.
Long story short, it’s a quintessential Taylor Swift video, and it gave her fans tons of tiny moments to analyze in search of deeper meaning. To make the whole thing even better, her cats make a cameo – including a newly adopted kitty Benjamin Button.
Me! is also close to Swift’s heart because it allowed her to work with one of her favorite artists – Panic! at the Disco’s Brandon Urie.
“It’s so exciting getting to make a song and video with someone who is that committed as a performer. It just made it so much more playful and wild and mischievous having someone who is that excited about making music,” explained Swift in an interview with Apple Music.
