“Tell Me a Story” Gets Season 2 Order at CBS All Access

CBS All Access is already renewing Tell Me a Story for season two. Although this psychological thriller is only seven episodes into its first season, the streaming video on demand service was obviously very pleased with the ratings and decided to order more episodes.

The series, which was created by Kevin Williamson, the man behind Dawson’s Creek and The Vampire Diaries, revolves around classical fairy tales reimagined as modern-day thriller stories. It is based on the Mexican television series Érase Una Vez, and stars James Wolk, Sam Jaege, Dorian Crossmond Missick, Billy Magnussen, Dania Ramirez, and Danielle Campbell among others.

The first season of Tell Me a Story, which is set to wrap up in early January, had fairy tales like The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, and Hansel and Gretel as its inspiration. The second season will use different stories as source material while also featuring a new cast.

“The first season of Tell Me a Story turned conventional fairy tales on their heads, interweaving and modernizing three classic stories into a compelling thriller for today’s audiences, in a way only Kevin Williamson can,” – said Julie McNamara, executive VP original content, CBS All Access. “We can’t wait to surprise and entertain viewers with a whole new set of tales next season.”
