Another reboot has been announced!

Multiple outlets confirm that a Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot is in the works from Dig directors Ryan and Andy Tohill. The duo will direct from a script written by Chris Thomas Devlin. Fede Alvarez and Rodolfo Sayagues will produce through their overall deal with Legendary.

“The Tohill’s vision is exactly what the fans want,” Alvarez said in a statement. “It’s violent, exciting and so depraved that it will stay with you forever.”

The original horror pic premiered in theaters in 1974 and quickly became a cult classic slasher film.

Variety was first to report the news.
