The 1975 Teams With Greta Thunberg For New Album’s Opening Track

Greta Thunberg is featured on the opening track of The 1975’s new album.

The band first teased the track Tuesday, but then cryptically deactivated all their social media accounts. Now they drop the first hint from their upcoming fourth album Notes on a Conditional Form and reveal that it features teen climate activist Thunberg.

Over a minimalistic piano track, Thunberg delivers a monologue about the current “climate and ecological crisis,” saying “we must acknowledge that we do not have the situation under control and that we do not have all the solutions yet.”

According to Rolling Stone, this track marks the launch of a 28-day countdown to the first single, which will premiere a day before they headline Reading Festival.
