“The Batman”: Jonah Hill Passes on Role of Villain

Looks Like Jonah Hill has passed on playing a Gotham villain.

Multiple outlets report that the Oscar nominee for Moneyball and The Wolf of Wall Street has reportedly chosen to depart from the Matt Reeves-directed The Batman.

News of Hill’s exit comes just days after it was confirmed that the project has found its Catwoman, casting HBO’s Big Little Lies star Zoe Kravitz to play Selina Kyle.

According to Variety, news of Hill’s casting surfaced very early in the negotiations and that a deal was far from closed. When reports first surfaced in September it was rumored that Hill is in talks to play either the Riddler or Penguin.

The Batman is expected to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
