“The Blacklist” Renewed For Season 7

After a lot of speculations about the future of The Blacklist, NBC bosses made the final call and decided to keep this show on the air and give the veteran thriller drama a renewal for a seventh season.

The future of this show was uncertain because the contracts of the core cast were bound to expire after six years. James Spader and several members of the main ensemble agreed to extend their contracts, ensuring the renewal of this Golden Globe-nominated series.

Before Season 6 even hit the air, the team behind The Blacklist decided to let the show run its own course and don’t force anything because they’re unsure what might happen next.

“We’re not going to rush to some ending out of fear that we’re not coming back. We have a story that we’re telling that we really like, and it’s going to take the time it takes to tell it,” said executive producer Jon Bokenkamp in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
