The Boys took us on many epic adventures over the course of the past three seasons, and the fourth one is shaping up to be the most epic one yet. Amazon dropped a bloody new trailer for the show’s next chapter ahead of its premiere next year.

Amazon Prime Video’s official synopsis describes The Boys as “an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good.”

The series borrows its title from the team of vigilance known as The Boys, who embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about these corrupt superheroes and the formidable Vought corporation that put them on the map. Their fight will continue in Season 4, and they’ll have to work together to save the day before it’s too late.

The ensemble cast of The Boys is led by Antony Starr as Homelander and Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, and it will feature a few new faces once the show comes back. Valorie Curry, Susan Heyward, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Rosemarie DeWitt, Rob Benedict, and Elliot Knight are joining the series in Season 4, which still doesn’t have an official release date.
