Good news The Conners fans!
According to Laurie Metcalf, season 2 of the ABC drama is “going to happen.”
The Conners star told Entertainment Tonight that an additional season for the Roseanne spinoff could very possibly happen.
“I believe it’s going to happen,” she told ET‘s Lauren Zima before Sunday’s Critics’ Choice Awards. “I think we’ll do between 10 and 13 [episodes], something like that… I think the tone will be the same, but I love not knowing what’s coming up at all.”
Deadline also confirms that a sophomore run could happen, reporting that negotiations are currently underway with the core cast Season 2, which would boast a higher episode count than the spinoff’s rookie 11-episode run.
The Roseanne revival was canceled in March after Roseanne Barr posted racist tweets.
