“The Crown” Season 3 Will Debut in 2019

Great news The Crown fans! Get ready to get your royal family fix this year.

While the streaming giant has yet to officially confirm the series’ third season debut, Deadline reports that in a letter from Netflix to investors it was revealed that The Crown will return in the second half of the year.

Should that actually happen, it means that the highly acclaimed royal drama will finally make its return more than 18 months after its second season. Given that the second season premiered in December 2017 and the first in November 2016, it’s fair to assume that the highly anticipated third season will also make a winter debut.

Season 3 has seen some major recasting with Claire Foy replaced by Olivia Colman. Matt Smith, Vanessa Kirby, and Matthew Goode have all exited the show as well. Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter, and Ben Daniels have stepped in to play Prince Phillip, Princess Margaret, and Lord Snowden, respectively.
