After a lot of speculations about its future, The CW finally shared an exciting update about the next season of Superman and Lois. The superhero series will keep flying high after being renewed for its fourth season, set to feature a total of 10 episodes.

Fans of the series feared that Superman and Lois would be the next victim of the network’s cost-cutting efforts. The CW recently canceled many of its beloved shows, and this series could’ve experienced the same fate since its special effects don’t come cheap. The network eventually decided to renew it, but with a lower episode count.

Brad Schwartz, president of entertainment at The CW Network, said that they’re thrilled to bring Superman & Lois back for another season, along with All American: Homecoming.

“These series are two of our strongest performers across our linear and digital platforms with some of the most passionate fanbases in all of television. We are grateful to our partners at Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions for their continued collaboration,” said Schwartz in a statement.

Superman and Lois premiered on the CW in 2021, and it exists in a separate universe from the other Arrowverse shows. It’s currently the network’s last remaining DC drama since they recently canceled Gotham Knights after a single season.
