ABC has prescribed its viewers with another season of The Good Doctor.
Multiple outlets reports that the Freddie Highmore-led medical drama will return for a third season. The series is currently airing its second season.
The Good Doctor follows autistic surgeon Shaun Murphy (Highmore), who overcomes personal and professional hurdles while working at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. The series also stars Richard Schiff, Nicholas Gonzalez, Antonia Thomas, Hill Harper and Fiona Gubelmann.
According to TVLine the series’ sophomore run is averaging 6.8 million total viewers and just over a 1.1 demo rating, down 30 and 40 percent from its freshman run. It is ABC’s second most successful scripted drama series.
ABC also handed out renewals for Shark Tank and A Million Little Things.
