Disney is bringing many exciting new movies our way this spring, but none of them generated more buzz than The Little Mermaid. A new teaser for this promising live-action remake is here, and it introduces two major characters: Ariel’s love interest Prince Eric and the film’s main villain Ursula.

The Little Mermaid stars Halle Bailey, a young spirited mermaid and the youngest daughter of King Triton. After years of being fascinated with the human world, she strikes a dangerous deal with the sea witch Ursula, and she must sacrifice her life under the sea for a chance to experience life on land that she’s always longed for.

The latest teaser trailer is just 30 seconds long and it sees Bailey performing a snippet from the song “Wish”. In addition to giving us another glimpse of the titular character, the new teaser also introduced us to Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric and Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.

The supporting cast of The Little Mermaid will include Javier Bardem, Art Malik, Noma Dumezweni, Lorena Andrea, and Simone Ashley, with Daveed Diggs, Jacob Tremblay, and Awkwafina. Rob Marshall, who found success with musicals Chicago, Into the Woods, and Mary Poppins Returns, was in charge of directing this live-action remake, set to premiere on May 26.
