The “Sonic the Hedgehog” Trailer is Here

We finally got a first look at the Sonic the Hedgehog movie!

Paramount has dropped the first official trailer for the big-screen adaptation of the hit Sega video game.

The feature adaptation is a live-action — animated hybrid. It stars Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, along with James Marsden, Tika Sumpter Natasha Rothwell, Neal McDonough, Adam Pally and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic himself.

According to Deadline, the film follows the “(mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound — human — best friend Tom Wachowski (Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination.

Fans were delighted to see that the classic hallmarks of Sonic are present, including his transformation into a blue ball, but did have some issues with his teeth.

Sonic The Hedgehog hits theaters on November 15. Check out the trailer below.
