It’s the season of new faces.
Season 4 of This Is Us has cast Tim Matheson in a recurring role as Dave, the father of Rebecca (Mandy Moore).
The casting was confirmed by 20th Century Fox TV, the studio that produces the show.
Matheson’s appearance on the show will mark the first time Rebecca’s father has been seen onscreen in the NBC drama series.
Moore previously told Entertainment Weekly, “Rebecca is a bit of a daddy’s girl. There are certain things that they don’t align on. But I think at the end of the day she really loves her father for who he is. He’s quite protective of her.”
Matheson stars series’ stars Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, and Justin Hartley. The fourth season of This Is Us will also star Jennifer Morrison, Omar Epps), M. Night Shyamalan, Nick Wechsler, Asante Blackk, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Timothy Omundson, Bahara Golestani, Julian Silva, and Auden Thornton.
This Is Us premieres September 24.
