Funny girl Tiffany Haddish is teaming up with the creators of BoJack Horseman.
38-year-old Haddish will star in a new animated Netflix series titled Bertie and Tuca. Helming the project is artist and designer Lisa Hanawalt, creator of the critically acclaimed BoJack Horseman.

It centers on the friendship of a pair of 30-year-old bird-women who live in the same apartment building. Haddish is set to be the voice of Tuca, described as a “cocky-care-free toucan.” It is still unknown who will work alongside Haddish in the role of Bertie, described as “an anxious, daydreaming songbird,” has yet to be cast.
Haddish will serve as an executive producer on the show; The production’s team also includes Bojack producers Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Noel Bright, Steve A. Cohen.
Haddish’s breakthrough finally came with the success of Girls Trip, which earned $140.1 million at the box office.
