Tim Miller, David Fincher to Create New Animated Series for Netflix

Netflix announced Monday that a new animated series, Love, Death & Robots is coming. 

The anthology hails from Tim Miller (Deadpool) and David Fincher (Gone Girl, House of Cards, Fight Club). The two will executive produce alongside Jennifer Miller, and Josh Donen.

The first season of will be a collection of 18 animated short stories, aimed at adults. Every installment will be created by a different creative and therefore will feature a unique animation style. The series and will be a span the genres of science fiction, fantasy, horror and comedy genres.

Love, Death & Robots is my dream project, it combines my love of animation and amazing stories,” Miller said in a statement. “Midnight movies, comics, books, and magazines of fantastic fiction have inspired me for decades, but they were relegated to the fringe culture of geeks and nerds of which I was a part. I’m so f—ing excited that the creative landscape has finally changed enough for adult-themed animation to become part of a larger cultural conversation.”
