Timothy Simons & Ron Cephas Jones Join “Looking For Alaska”

Hulu’s Looking For Alaska has cast Timothy Simons and Ron Cephas Jones.

They will star opposite the limited series’ young leads — Charlie Plummer and Kristine Froseth.

The streamer’s adaptation of John Green’s novel is told through the eyes of teenager Miles “Pudge” Halter (Plummer) as he enrolls in boarding school to try to gain a deeper perspective on life. He falls in love with a girl, Alaska Young (Froseth), and after her unexpected death, he and his close friends attempt to uncover the truth behind her death and make sense of it.

Simons will play The Eagle, the stern and humorless head of Culver Creek Academy. Jones will play Dr. Hyde, a history of religion teacher at the boarding school.

Looking For Alaska hails from Paramount Television and Josh Schwartz, who’s penned the first episode and will also serve as showrunner. Production on the eight-part series began production last week.
