“To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” Sequel is in the Works

Netflix just gave fans of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before the best early Christmas present ever. Their hit rom-com is officially getting the sequel everyone was rooting for since the movie came out.

To All the Boys tells the story of high-school student Lara Jean, whose life takes an unexpected turn after secret love letters she wrote in the past end up being mysteriously mailed out to her past crushes. It stars Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, who both got their big break thanks to this movie.

Director Susan Johnson was the one who confirmed Netflix is currently working on a sequel. It will be loosely based on the second book in the series written by Jenny Han titled P.S. I Still Love You. Even before Johnson announced the news, there’s been a lot of talk about the potential follow-up and how things could play out.

“The script isn’t written, but I’m anxious to have them say yes so we can get going on it really quickly because you don’t want to rush it. But at the same time, you don’t want them to be 30 years old playing 17,” said Johnson while discussing the sequel a couple of months ago.
