Venom producer confirms Tom Hardy is part of the Venom sequel.
“I can say that Tom Hardy will be back, magnificently playing that character as no one else can,” producer Amy Pascal told Fandango. “When you think of Venom, you’ll never be able to think of anyone but Tom Hardy sitting in that bathtub of lobsters. And once you saw Tom Hardy do this character, that’s all you needed to know.”
While the feature was not critically loved, it was a definite hit with movie-goers bringing in more than $800 million worldwide, out-grossing films like Wonder Woman and Thor: Ragnarok.
There are no concrete details of the sequel story line but it was teased in the end scenes of the original when convicted serial killer Cletus Kasady played by Woody Harrelson promises that when he gets out of San Quentin “there’s gonna be carnage.”
