Tom Holland took a step back from acting in recent years, but his epic comeback seems to be upon us! Shortly after joining Christopher Nolan’s next film, the Spider-Man star is circling the lead role in another major project – the John Grisham adaptation The Partner.

This adaptation draws inspiration from Grisham’s 1997 novel The Imitation Game, which centered on a junior partner at a law firm who decides to fake his own death and flee to Brazil after stealing $90 million from a wealthy client. Graham Moore adapted the novel for Universal Pictures, and they’re yet to confirm Holland’s casting.

Holland is expected to produce this film through his production label Billy17, which he recently founded with his brother Harry Holland and Will South. The company signed a production deal with Sony Pictures following its launch last month and announced they’re plotting a mystery film titled Burnt as their first project.

Holland took a one-year hiatus from acting after starring in The Crowded Room, but he’s gearing up for his epic comeback. He recently landed a key role in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey opposite Zendaya, Matt Damon, Rob Pattinson, and Anne Hathaway. He’s also in negotiations with Marvel to return as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in his fourth standalone film and potential Avengers sequels.
