Robert Miles, Swiss-born trance DJ and producer, has died aged 47. Miles was battling cancer for nine months before passing away.
Miles (real name Robert Concina), became famous for his hit Children from the ’90s. In the later years, he focused on more experimental music, eventually founding a Balearic radio station Open Lab.
As Miles was a pioneering figure in the early euro-trance scene and considered a trailblazer among electronic DJ’s, many of his colleagues and friends shared their grief on Twitter, including world renown names like Darude, DJ Mag Italia, DJ Pete Tong, Joe T Vannelli, and others.
