“True Detective” casts Ray Fisher in season 3

Justice League actor Ray Fisher is joining the cast of True Detective.

HBO has decided to make Fisher a regular in the detective drama’s upcoming season. Fisher isn’t the only new casting addition to the series with Michael Greyeyes (Fear the Walking Dead), Jon Tenney (The Closer) and Rhys Wakefield (The Purge) joining in recurring roles.

The next installment in Nic Pizzolatto’s crime series “tells the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks, and a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods.” Pizzolatto penned season’s 3 entire script expect for the 4th episode, which he co-wrote with David Milch. Pizzolatto is also making his directorial debut, serving as the third season’s director alongside Jeremy Saulnier.

The next installment is expected to premiere in 2019, featuring Mahershala Ali, Carmen Ejogo and Stephen Dorff.
