“Twilight Zone” Reboot Casts Adam Scott

Adam Scott is en route to the fifth dimension.

Variety reports that the Parks and Recreation star has been tapped to star in CBS All Acces’ upcoming Twilight Zone anthology helmed by Jordan Peele. Peele, who will serve as executive producer alongside  Simon Kinberg and Marco Ramirez, will also host and narrate the horror series.

Scoot will appear in a stand-alone episode titled “Nightmare at 30,000 Feet.” While further details are kept under wraps, the episode could be a possible homage to the 1963 episode, “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet,” which starred William Shatner. In the episode, Shatner plays a man who sees a gremlin on the wing of an airliner but can’t get anyone else on the flight to believe him. It was also parodied in the Simpsons “Treehouse of Horror” installment in 1993.

Scott joins the previously announced Sanaa Lathan who will be the star of an episode called “Rewind.”

The series is expected to debut in 2019.
