Model Tyra Banks, creator and host of America’s Next Top Model, regrets posting a picture of her 18-month-old son, York Banks-Asla.
This was the first time the 43-year-old America’s Got Talent host posted a photo of her child on social media.
Banks told Seth Meyres of NBC’s Late Night, that the reason wasn’t the feeling it was time that she introduced her son to the world. It was more about beating the paparazzi for first photo after they had taken pictures of the two even though she did her best at hiding him from the camera lenses. It was really about doing something so the paparazzi wouldn’t make money off of putting out the first photo of Tyra Banks’ son.
The following day, expecting to see pictures of her son, Banks discovered she actually did a really good job hiding her son from the cameras. The real meaning was that the only photo of York circulating on social media was the one she uploaded.
While Meyers said that it looks like York has already nailed “smizing,” aka smiling with the eyes, popularized by his mom, Banks said she doesn’t want him to be a model.
