“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” is Coming Back to Netflix

Fans of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt waved goodbye to the hilarious sitcom a few months ago, but it seems there’s more to come. Netflix is working on an interactive special, after testing this groundbreaking format with their anthology series Black Mirror.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was created by Tina Fey, and it follows the adventures of a happy-go-lucky woman who starts a new life in New York City after being rescued from a doomsday cult.

Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski and Carol Kane will return to their respective roles, and Tina Fey is also on board. She announced the amazing news during an FYSEE panel, and explained how this interactive special will work.

“Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of our characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes. I think it’s a great fit for our show and will be a great way to officially complete the series,” said Fey.

The sitcom premiered in 2015, and received a total of 18 Emmy nods over the course of four seasons.
