As Variety reports, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” has been renewed for Season 4 at Netflix.
The series is named after the main character played by Ellie Kemper. Other stars include Jane Krakowski, Tituss Burgess, and Carol Kane. Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Jeff Richmond, and David Miner are executive producers.
The story follows Kemper’s character Kimmy Schmidt who was kidnapped and held in a bunker for years. We watch her as she tries to live a normal life after being saved.
The series got 11 Emmy nominations for the first 2 seasons, including a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and two nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series.
