Starz gave us one of their most refreshing shows to date with Vida, and they’re not getting rid of it anytime soon. This critically acclaimed series has been renewed for Season 3.
Vida tells the story of two Mexican-American sisters, who couldn’t be more different or distanced from each other. After an unexpected set of circumstances, they are forced to return to their old neighborhood, where they are confronted by the past and the shocking truth about their mother’s identity.
This show was created by Tanya Saracho and sees Melissa Barrera and Mishel Prada playing the lead roles.
Starz COO Jeffrey Hirsch was excited to announce the renewal and had nothing but words of praise for the creative team behind it. “It is a rarity in television today to have a series earn this level of critical praise for two consecutive seasons and spark cultural conversation in the way that Vida has. We are proud to continue to tell this story with Tanya and the incredible cast and crew she has assembled,” he said in a statement.
