Wanda Sykes and Mike Epps are set to lead a brand new comedy series for the streaming giant. News that Netflix greenlit The Upshaws was announced Tuesday.

The actor-comedian duo is not new to Netflix, and with the streamer having featured the two in several comedy specials.

According to multiple sources, the multi-camera family comedy series centers on a working-class black family in Indiana struggling with how to make things work without a blueprint on how to do it.

Sykes and Epps are also executive-producing the series alongside Insecure scribe Regina Y. Hicks. Hicks and Sykes will serve as co-showrunners.

The Upshaws joins a multi-camera roster that includes Mr. Iglesias, Family Reunion, Fuller House, and The Ranch.

A release date and episode count have yet to be announced.
